Citi Warsaw seeks a Principal Software Engineer to lead architectural design and delivery of a next‑generation Risk Management Platform. You will shape technical standards, drive major architectural initiatives, and mentor diverse engineering teams across the globe.

In a hybrid work setting (up to 2 days from home per week), you will collaborate with product managers, quantitative analysts, and operations to deliver scalable, secure enterprise systems.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Extensive experience in software engineering and system architecture, with a history of delivering mission‑critical enterprise systems (Financial Services / Risk Tech preferred).
• Advanced backend expertise in languages such as Java, Python, Go, or C++, distributed systems, and event‑driven architectures (Kafka).
• Experience with cloud platforms, containers, API gateways, and distributed caching technologies.
• Strong data architecture skills with relational and distributed databases and high‑volume data pipelines.

Responsabilidades

• Lead architectural design and delivery of Citi’s Risk Management Platform.
• Define technical standards, best practices, CI/CD, and high-quality code across lifecycle.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.
• Drive strategic initiatives and governance for scalable, secure systems.
