GFT Poland in Kraków is seeking a senior Java developer to design, develop and test enterprise-grade applications. You will build event-driven services using Apache Kafka, Spring and Hibernate, and ensure smooth Kubernetes deployments for scalable, resilient systems.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to architecture discussions, and drive CI/CD delivery while adhering to TDD/BDD practices and cloud-based development.

Formación

• 7+ years of commercial Java development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Spring Framework.
• Experience with Hibernate.
• Hands-on with Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Understanding of Kubernetes concepts for app development.
• Knowledge of JMS and SQL.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD processes.
• Experience with distributed systems and microservices.
• Familiarity with cloud-based solutions.

What will you do?

Join a team responsible for developing enterprise-grade Java applications supporting critical business processes. You will design, develop, and test scalable solutions, participate in architecture discussions and code reviews, and build modern applications based on event-driven architecture. The role requires a solid understanding of how applications operate in Kubernetes environments and how to effectively design services using Kafka.

Requirements

• 7+ years of commercial experience with Java development
• Strong knowledge of Spring Framework
• Experience with Hibernate
• Good understanding of event-driven architecture and hands-on experience developing applications using Apache Kafka
• Understanding of Kafka concepts from a software engineering perspective, including designing services that efficiently produce and consume events and analysing application-related issues
• Good understanding of Kubernetes and experience designing Java applications to run effectively in Kubernetes environments
• Understanding of key Kubernetes concepts relevant to application development and deployment
• Knowledge of JMS
• Good knowledge of SQL
• Experience with Git
• Understanding of TDD and BDD methodologies
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Experience with software design and development best practices
• Experience with cloud-based solutions
• Experience with microservices architecture
• Experience with performance optimisation
• Experience with CI/CD and application delivery processes
