Job summary

Swarmer, a defense-tech hardware-software pioneer, is seeking a Principal Integration Engineer. You will own hardware composition, connectivity, and integration with software solutions for drone systems.

You will lead embedded development, system integration, testing, and collaboration with vendors and manufacturing. Expert-level expertise in drone tech, networking, Linux, and C/C++ is required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with hardware and embedded platforms.
• Expert-level UAV technologies, flight controllers and protocols.
• Proficient in Linux, networking and software-hardware integration.
• Strong system-architecture thinking and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design hardware architectures for drone systems and plan integration.
• Develop and optimize embedded software for controllers and companion computers.
• Build, test, and iterate hardware prototypes to meet specs.
• Coordinate with manufacturing to streamline production and QC.
• Collaborate with vendors to evaluate components and integrate third-party hardware.
• Bridge hardware capabilities with software requirements for seamless autonomy.
• Create technical specs and integration guides.
• Implement testing protocols for reliability and regulatory compliance.
• Contribute to technical roadmap and architectural decisions.
