EPAM Systems is seeking a Principal Data Technology Consultant to join the Data Practice CEE Team. You will advise clients on leveraging data technologies to boost performance, shape strategy, and drive AI transformation across programs.

The role blends technology, people and process, delivering architectures, data platforms, and accelerators while building strong client relationships and contributing to EPAM's data service offerings.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Data Technical Consultant and Data Solution Architect.
• Expertise across data engineering, warehousing, science, governance and visualization.
• Hands-on analytics technology experience.
• Knowledge of major cloud platforms and data frameworks (Databricks, MS Fabric).
• Demonstrates deep AI/ML expertise including NLP and computer vision.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on Data Analytics strategy and AI transformation.
• Define architectures and evaluate data environments in collaboration with architects.
• Drive data analytics initiatives and technology consulting engagements.

We're seeking a Principal Data Technology Consultant to join the Data Practice CEE Team. The purpose of Data Technology Consulting is to advise EPAM clients (CDO, CIO, CTO) on leveraging digital data technologies to enhance business performance, which encompasses both technology, people and process. The role ensures effective implementation of data systems by defining technology strategy, roadmap creation, implementing a data culture, refreshing communication and support with a data mindset, ensuring the adoption and sustainability of solutions, advisory and oversight for new paradigms and ways of working. Data technology can catalyze business growth, reduce costs, manage risks, nurture talent, and revolutionize operational methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Work with European technical and business data practices, assisting clients in their Data Analytics strategy, AI transformation and delivery programs
• Enhance Data and Analytics frameworks to boost business capabilities - proposing efficient to implement and integrate, cohesive systems, driving the technical evaluation of the past and to-be data environment by working together with various business and technology roles
• Serve as a consultant on complex projects, defining straightforward architectures and collaborating with architects on domain and specialist-level technical problems
• Maintain understanding of technical solutions, architecture design trends and best practices
• Drive Data Analytics initiatives and technology consulting engagements
• Collaborate with internal, client and third-party teams to execute transformations
• Understand the synergy between technology, customers, and business
• Stay updated on emerging trends and challenges in clients' markets and geographies, and how they affect clients' business and initiatives
• Collaborate with project management teams to ensure integrated and successful project delivery
• Deliver clear and consistent communications within projects with relevant stakeholders
• Build and maintain robust client relationships
• Develop a full understanding of EPAM's Data Service Offerings and create new offerings in the form of accelerators, blueprints and (open source) tools

Requirements

• Strong experience as a Data Technical Consultant and Data Solution Architect
• Expertise in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, Data Science, Data Management, Data Governance, and Data Visualization
• Hands-on technology experience in the areas of Data Analytics
• Awareness of data technology trends and market evolutions, including major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), data processing frameworks (Databricks, MS Fabric)
• Demonstrates deep expertise in AI/ML with a strong focus on Large Language Models (LLMs), advanced Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Computer Vision. Applies cutting-edge machine learning techniques to design, develop, and deploy scalable AI solutions across industries
• Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC); adhere to best practices, and promote quality-focused code development and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
• Skill in effectively communicating technology pros & cons and presenting rational options to clients
• Confidence in expressing viewpoints, making recommendations and presenting analysis when needed
