Job summary

GFT Technologies SE in Poland is seeking a Principal Core Banking Solution Architect to drive architecture strategy and provide technical leadership across large-scale Core Banking transformation programmes. You will act as a trusted advisor for clients and lead complex modernization, migration and implementation initiatives.

You will combine deep Core Banking expertise with consulting and stakeholder management to shape banking platforms and operating models.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a Solution/Lead/Enterprise/Principal Architect in banking.
• Proven track record leading Core Banking transformation programmes.
• Experience defining architecture strategy, migration approaches and target operating models.

Responsibilities

• Define architecture vision and target-state architecture for major transformation programmes.
• Lead architecture teams across multiple workstreams.
• Act as the primary architecture advisor for clients and senior stakeholders.
• Governing solution architecture throughout implementation and migration programmes.
• Lead platform selection, architecture assessments and transformation roadmaps.

What will you do?

As a Principal Core Banking Solution Architect, you will drive architecture strategy and technical leadership across large-scale Core Banking transformation programmes. You will act as a trusted advisor for clients and provide architectural leadership for complex modernisation, migration and implementation initiatives.

Your tasks

• Defining architecture vision and target-state architecture for major transformation programmes.
• Leading architecture teams across multiple workstreams.
• Acting as the primary architecture advisor for clients and senior stakeholders.
• Governing solution architecture throughout implementation and migration programmes.
• Leading platform selection, architecture assessments and transformation roadmaps.
• Supporting strategic pursuits, proposals and large pre-sales engagements.
• Coaching, mentoring and developing other architects.
• Driving architecture standards, best practices and capability development within the organisation.

Your skills

• Core Banking Expertise
  • Extensive experience as a Solution Architect, Lead Architect, Enterprise Architect or Principal Architect within banking.
  • Proven track record in leading Core Banking transformation programmes.
  • Experience defining architecture strategy, migration approaches and target operating models.
  • Strong experience with modern Core Banking platforms such as: Thought Machine Vault, Mambu, 10x Banking, Engine by Starling, Temenos, Oracle FLEXCUBE or other leading Core Banking solutions.
  • Deep understanding of both modern and legacy Core Banking ecosystems.
• Banking Domain Knowledge
  • Deep understanding of: Retail and Commercial Banking, Deposits and Lending, Product Manufacturing, Payments and Cards, Core Banking Operations, Regulatory and Compliance Processes, Core Banking Ecosystem Integration
• Leadership & Consulting
  • Experience leading architecture teams or multiple architecture workstreams.
  • Ability to independently shape solutions and challenge architectural decisions where needed.
  • Experience working with CIOs, CTOs, Heads of Architecture and senior business stakeholders.
  • Strong consulting and stakeholder management skills.
• Architecture & Technology
  • Expertise in cloud-native architectures, APIs, microservices and event-driven systems.
  • Strong understanding of modernisation and migration patterns.
  • Ability to balance business, operational and technical objectives when defining transformation strategies.
