Job summary
Elastic is seeking a Principal Software Engineer I for CI/CD in its Platform Engineering Productivity group in Poland. You will shape the CI/CD roadmap, safeguard the release process, and lead cross-team initiatives to accelerate secure software delivery at scale.
You will mentor engineers, drive incident response, and produce clear guidance and documentation. This role blends hands-on work with strategic leadership, reinforcing Elastic's commitment to reliable, fast software delivery.
Qualifications
- Deep expertise in CI/CD and securing release pipelines.
- Hands-on with CI infrastructure and Kubernetes.
- Experience leading cross-org projects and incident response.
Responsibilities
- Define roadmap and technical vision for CI/CD across the org.
- Identify bottlenecks, friction, or security risks in CI/CD.
- Design release gates for supply chain integrity and release readiness.
- Direct engineers on multi-quarter projects and drive outcomes.
- Drive technical communication and publish high-quality docs.
- Act as Incident Commander on high-severity supply chain incidents.
- Raise engineering bar via reviews and mentorship.
- Remain hands-on when needed, primarily lead through others.
