Job summary

Unikie seeks a Principal Android Camera Engineer to lead platform-level Android and AOSP development, working deeply inside the stack with C/C++ on Qualcomm-based platforms. You will tackle complex system-level issues across camera, video, graphics, and display domains and guide engineering teams.

The role requires hands-on coding, strong debugging skills, and collaboration with teams across North America and Europe to drive platform evolution and hardware integration.

Qualifications

• Experience in Android platform development and AOSP.
• Proficient in C/C++ for native system components.
• Hands-on experience with Qualcomm-based Android platforms.
• Deep knowledge of Android camera stacks and related video/multimedia tech.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise in Android/AOSP platform development.
• Investigate and resolve complex platform-level issues across camera, video, graphics and display systems.
• Work with Qualcomm-based Android platforms and platform-specific components.
• Develop, analyze, debug, and troubleshoot native Android platform components using C/C++.
• Support development and integration of camera-based hardware products.
• Collaborate with Qualcomm and external partners.
• Provide technical guidance to engineers on Android platform and device-level development.
• Participate in architectural decisions for Android-based products.
• Support platform evolution with firmware and hardware updates.
