RubyPlay is seeking a Principal 2D Animator in Warsaw (Remote) to own animation delivery from concept to finish. You’ll work directly with art directors across studios, shaping animation as a core production discipline and driving quality and efficiency across projects.

With 6+ years in the games industry, you’ll mentor peers, influence cross-team processes, and push mobile-optimised animation workflows while collaborating with a diverse, international team.

Qualifications

• Expert-level proficiency in Spine for animation delivery.
• Strong professional English communication.
• Ability to mentor and coach other animators.
• Experience bridging Art and Tech to resolve dependencies

Responsibilities

• Act as a high-level bridge between Art and Tech, resolving dependencies and bottlenecks.
• Mentor and coach other animators to raise the team's skill level.
• Set the studio-wide benchmark for animation quality and optimize the pipeline.
• Study competitors to raise our animation feel and timing.
• Deliver top-tier, complex animations across symbols, backgrounds, characters, UI elements.
• Collaborate across studios to establish best practices for varied animation styles.
