Job summary

The Center for Theoretical Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher to join the Neutral Atoms Applications theory group in Warsaw. We seek candidates to develop theoretical and numerical methods for programmable quantum systems, especially neutral atoms in optical tweezers and Rydberg arrays.

Qualifications

• PhD in physics or a closely related field.
• Strong background in quantum optics, atomic physics, quantum information, quantum control, open quantum systems, or many-body physics.
• Experience in analytical or numerical modelling is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop theoretical and numerical methods for modelling programmable quantum systems.
• Collaborate with experimental and theoretical groups in related projects.
• Supervise PhD and undergraduate students.
• Pursue independent research directions within the group's agenda.
