Job summary

Moniepoint Inc. is seeking a Mobile Architect (POS-Terminal) to design and lead the architecture of POS terminal solutions. You will ensure security, scalability, and performance across Android Native and cross-platform platforms like Flutter.

You will shape the technical vision for our POS products and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with strategic goals. The role emphasizes leadership, mentoring, and hands-on design in payments systems, EMV standards, and hardware integration,

Qualifications

• 8+ years in system design, architecture and development for POS terminals.
• Strong Android Native development expertise (Java/Kotlin).
• Experience with cross-platform mobile development (Flutter) and familiarity with C/JavaScript.
• Knowledge of EMV security protocols and hardware integration for POS devices.
• Understanding of payments architecture and payment processors/gateways.
• Experience applying QA practices in financial systems.
• Ability to mentor engineers and drive process improvements.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and architecture of POS terminal solutions across platforms.
• Create and maintain architectural diagrams and docs for POS systems.
• Make decisions on POS software, EMV integration and hardware compatibility.
• Lead development of POS-related applications and ensure security and performance.
• Plan with product/engineering to meet market and business needs.
• Review code and enforce best practices for mobile/embedded systems.
