Job summary

Linyang Energy is seeking an in-house Legal Counsel for our Polish subsidiary, based in Warsaw or Łódź. You will provide end-to-end legal support for BESS project development, manage tenders, draft and review contracts, and ensure compliance with Polish law.

You will collaborate with sales, project, procurement and finance teams to mitigate risk and enable successful bids. Fluency in English and Polish is required, with a strong background in energy regulatory matters and tender processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Law and bar qualification recognised in Poland.
• Hands-on in-house legal experience on BESS projects.
• Experience supporting energy storage sales and tender bidding.
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills for energy contracts.
• Fluent in English; Polish proficiency for local regulatory communications.
• Familiar with Polish commercial law and energy regulatory framework.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end legal support for BESS project development, including due diligence, drafting, review and negotiation of commercial agreements.
• Support the sales team with legal advice for energy storage engagements and pre-contract risk assessment.
• Manage full-cycle legal work for tender and bidding activities, review documents and draft responses.
• Conduct local Polish law compliance reviews for renewable energy & BESS projects and maintain risk registers.
• Coordinate with external counsel for complex project matters and disputes prevention.
• Review and update standard contract templates to align with local regulations and group policies.
• Collaborate with sales, project, procurement and finance to resolve legal issues through project lifecycle.
• Keep track of Polish energy law updates and deliver internal legal briefings to business teams.
