Job summary

Flix is seeking an experienced Workday Integration Engineer on a freelance/service agreement basis (B2B). This contractor role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining AWS-based integrations between Workday HRIS and Flix systems, collaborating with HR, IT, and external vendors.

You will implement event-driven and API workflows with AWS, use Python for data transformation, apply Terraform IaC, and establish CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Experience connecting diverse HR, ATS, payroll, and EOR systems (Workday, Deel, Greenhouse, etc.).
• Experience with API-based integrations using REST, SOAP, and JSON/XML.
• Experience with AWS, API Gateway, Terraform, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and DevOps practices.
• Experience with secure data exchange (SFTP, encryption, API authentication).
• Strong communication to collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, and external vendors.
• Fluent in English; German language skills are a welcome bonus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain AWS-based integrations between Workday HRIS and internal/external systems.
• Architect and maintain event-driven and API-based workflows using AWS services (EventBridge, Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/Kubernetes, SQS, S3).
• Use Python to develop integration services, data transformation, and mapping logic.
• Apply Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) to provision cloud infrastructure.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for code versioning, testing, and deployment.
• Ensure GDPR compliance and secure data exchange across international employee data.
• Collaborate with functional teams to translate business processes into integration designs.
• Troubleshoot and optimize integration performance across environments.
• Provide technical guidance and best practices to other developers.
