Job summary

Arista Networks is seeking a great Intern/Graduate Engineer for the Platform team. You will choose a team, have a personal mentor, and participate in the Arista Prep course and Arista U lectures.

This program supports early career growth and ends with a potential full-time offer. Work involves writing Linux user space and kernel code, configuring management services with Go and Python, and developing routing protocol agents in C/C++.

Qualifications

• Proficient in C/C++, Linux embedded systems, and networking concepts.
• Strong programming aptitude with a passion for software development.
• Willingness to learn and work across hardware-software interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Write Linux user space and kernel code for 32-bit drivers and 64-bit memory spaces.
• Access ASIC registers over SPI/SMBus/PCIe/I2C to implement high-resolution timers and collect traffic data.
• Develop configuration management services using Go and Python for NETCONF/RESTCONF.
• Develop routing protocol agents (BGP/OSPF/ISIS) in C/C++.
