Asana, based in Warsaw, is seeking an Engineering Manager to build and lead a Platform Reliability team. You will shape the reliability roadmap for our growing global platform, partnering with platform engineering, infrastructure, and product teams to embed resilience from the start.

You will drive incidents, SLOs, capacity planning, and culture of technical excellence while coaching engineers, balancing long-term maintainability with iterative delivery, and ensuring strong execution across

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering management experience.
• Strong backend/infrastructure or reliability focus.
• Experience with cloud services (AWS) and Kubernetes.
• Experience building production systems at scale and handling failures.
• Excellent coaching and communication to grow engineers.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a Platform Reliability team, hiring and developing engineers with clear collaboration standards.
• Define the reliability roadmap for core systems like load shedding, rate limiting, circuit breakers, and guardrails.
• Establish best-in-class incident response, postmortems, and proactive risk management via SLOs and capacity planning.
• Embed reliability into architecture and delivery from the start of new initiatives.
• Lead end-to-end projects from scoping to rollout with smart speed-safety tradeoffs.
• Foster strong engineering execution through coaching, feedback, code reviews, and mentorship.
• Use incidents and metrics to refine priorities and improve team effectiveness.
