Job summary

Fortrea seeks a Director of Platform Engineering & DevOps to lead a global engineering modernization program. The role focuses on platform products, scalable cloud platforms, and AI-assisted software engineering to accelerate delivery.

You will guide SRE practices, CI/CD modernization, and governance while partnering with Architecture, Security, and Business leaders. Hybrid role in Warsaw, with emphasis on developing IDPs, self-service capabilities, and adoption of cloud-native architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Support and execute Platform Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Engineering, and Software Delivery strategy.
• Build and mentor Engineering Managers and Lead Engineers.
• Establish Internal Developer Platforms and reusable engineering services.
• Treat platforms as products with measurable adoption.
• Lead AI-assisted software engineering and automation adoption.
• Define and monitor engineering performance with industry metrics.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Security, Data & AI, and Leadership.
