Confidential Executive Search is seeking an experienced Plant Controller to own financial performance and act as a strategic partner to plant leadership within an international manufacturing environment.

This high-impact role requires strong manufacturing controlling expertise, commercial acumen and the ability to influence operational decisions to drive profitability and sustainable performance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in Finance and Controlling, with significant exposure to manufacturing operations.
• Proven experience in Plant Controlling, Industrial Controlling, Manufacturing Finance or Operations Finance.
• Strong knowledge of standard costing, manufacturing cost structures, variance analysis and financial planning.
• Solid experience in budgeting, forecasting, month-end closing and management reporting.
• Experience within a multinational or international industrial environment.
• Strong analytical capabilities, business acumen and a results-driven mindset.
• Ability to challenge, influence and collaborate effectively with operational and senior leadership teams.
• Experience with SAP, particularly SAP CO; familiarity with HFM is an advantage.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Act as a strategic Finance Business Partner to Plant Management, supporting operational and financial decision-making.
• Take ownership of plant financial performance, profitability, cost control and financial planning.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and month-end closing activities.
• Analyse manufacturing costs, variances, margins, inventory and working capital performance.
• Drive financial and operational improvements through KPI monitoring, cost optimisation and performance analysis.
• Oversee standard costing, cost centre controlling and manufacturing financial processes.
• Evaluate capital investments, business cases and operational improvement initiatives.
• Ensure financial compliance, internal controls, audit readiness and reporting accuracy.
• Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering and senior management to support business objectives.
• Champion continuous improvement, process simplification and financial automation.
