Job summary

Batgroup in Warsaw or Lisbon (hybrid) is seeking a skilled PHP Developer to join our engineering team and help build the platforms behind Batmaid and PFA. You will design, develop, test, and maintain web applications and backend services used daily by customers and cleaners, collaborating with product, data and operations to ship scalable, reliable software.

AI-assisted development is standard here, and we value clean architecture, SOLID and Domain-Driven Design, plus high-quality tests.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on PHP development experience.
• Clear, maintainable code with strong testing (unit/integration/e2e).
• Experience with Domain-Driven Design and SOLID OO design.
• Working knowledge of Symfony and Git.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain dynamic web applications and backend services in PHP and Symfony.
• Write clear, well-tested, maintainable code, including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Apply SOLID principles and sound object-oriented design to keep our systems clean as they scale.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across product, data, and operations to turn business needs into working software.
• Use AI-assisted development thoughtfully, to raise both your speed and the quality of what you ship.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and help raise the engineering bar across the team.
