Job summary

AMC Insurance Brokers is seeking an experienced Personal Lines Insurance Advisor to manage and service a dedicated portfolio of personal lines clients across our growing branch network. • Level 2 BC General Insurance Licence required (Level 1 candidates with extensive experience will be considered).
• 2–3 years of dedicated personal lines insurance and ICBC Autoplan experience.
• Advanced knowledge of personal lines underwriting rules, policy wordings, and ICBC PolicyCenter operations.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Location: able to work in person at any BC office locations.

Responsibilities

• Manage, service, and grow a diverse portfolio of personal lines insurance clients (Home, Tenant, Auto, and Travel).
• Handle complex ICBC Autoplan transactions, policy changes, renewals, and endorsements using ICBC PolicyCenter.
• Conduct thorough client risk assessments to recommend appropriate coverage limits, deductibles, and optional wordings.
• Prepare quotes, binders, and proposals for new and renewing personal lines accounts.
• Build enduring relationships with clients, providing expert and reliable insurance advice.
• Mentor junior team members and support smooth daily branch operations.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation within agency management systems.

Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Licence Requirement: Level 2 BC General Insurance Licence required (Level 1 candidates with extensive experience will be considered)
• Experience: Minimum 2 to 3 years of dedicated personal lines insurance and ICBC Autoplan experience
• Technical Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of personal lines underwriting rules, policy wordings, and ICBC PolicyCenter operations
• Communication: Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills
• Skills: Highly organized, strong attention to detail, and proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Location: Ability to work in person at any of our 12 BC office locations

Preferred Assets

• Professional designations (CAIB, CIP, or CRM)
• Proven track record in personal lines cross-selling and portfolio retention
