Brown Brothers Harriman is seeking a Payroll HR Professional to join our EU Payroll Team in Kraków, Poland. You will manage payroll processing for multiple locations and collaborate with our outsourced provider to ensure timely, accurate payments.

The role emphasizes knowledge of Polish payroll, exposure to other European locations, and a strong focus on data confidentiality, compliance, and process improvement within a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in payroll processing for Poland; familiarity with other European locations is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree required; professional certification in HR/payroll is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Calculate and verify payroll for Poland and other European locations (Poland, Luxembourg, Ireland, UK, Switzerland).
• Prepare reports for payroll processing and audit paychecks, benefits, bonuses and deductions.
• Collaborate with third-party vendor to ensure accurate payroll for all BBH employees.
• Perform month-end and year-end payroll reconciliation and regulatory reporting tasks.
• Maintain data confidentiality and ensure compliance with payroll laws and internal controls.

About the team

Brown Brothers Harriman Global Payroll team is currently recruiting a Payroll HR Professional to join our EU Payroll Team. This role is responsible for managing payroll activities and working directly with our outsourced payroll provider to ensure the timely and accurate payment of our workforce across multiple key locations. A strong expertise in processing payroll in Poland is required, experience with payroll operations in other European locations, including Zurich, London, Luxembourg, and Dublin, would be considered a strong advantage.

Payroll Processing and Verification

• Calculate and verify payroll information for both salaried and hourly BBH (permanent, temporary and intern) employees in Poland, Luxembourg, Ireland (Dublin), United Kingdom (London), Switzerland (Zurich).
• Preparation of draft reports for the correct processing of payroll inputs
• Prepare standard withholdings and deductions from gross pay amounts. Audit paychecks, benefits adjustments, special bonus awards and commissions and ensure they are accurately processed
• Complete Quarterly and Annual payroll tasks, balance payroll records and approve tax payments, as required
• Collaborate with appointed third-party vendor to ensure accurate payroll for all BBH employees

Payroll Reconciliation & Reporting

• Perform payroll reconciliation, including pension payments
• Resolve monthly payroll errors and complete regulatory reports as needed
• Conduct analyses and prepare reports as required
• Perform month end reporting procedures to ensure compliance with internal and external procedures and regulations
• Support year-end reconciliation processes

Qualifications

• Expertise in processing payroll in Poland; experience with other European locations (Zurich, London, Luxembourg, and Dublin) is an advantage.
• Experience with both in-house and outsourced payroll models a plus
• Exceptional organization, planning, and communication skills - detail oriented
• Exceptional analytical skills and ability to identify and drive continuous process improvements
• Ability to manage multiple, high-priority tasks and adjust to shifting priorities, while meeting deadlines
• Ability to work both independently and collaborate in a team environment
• Experience with payroll and HR systems especially Workday HCM
• Knowledge of relevant payroll taxes and legislation a plus
• Ability to handle highly sensitive data with confidentiality and integrity
• Excellent PC skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and systems interfaces
• Fluent in English & Polish
• Minimum bachelor's degree is mandatory
