EY GDS – Junior/Senior Cyber Security Consultant (OT Security)

Location: Katowice
Hybrid model: 2 days office / 3 days remote

The Opportunity

The GDS Cyber Architecture, OT & Engineering (CAOE) team helps our clients tackle the many security challenges they face on a daily basis and develop effective solutions using people, processes, and technology, while enabling better security and risk decisions, and reducing costs related to managing security risks.

The CAOE team is looking for individuals who will play a direct role in the delivery of Operational Technology (OT) Security engagements, Development of OT security solutions, and proposals.

You will play a key role in supporting our clients to secure their IT/OT environments, either through advisory and/or implementation support.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • Strong understanding of security-related operational processes in OT-ICS environments (PLC, RTU, SCADA, HMI)
  • Knowledge of cyber/information security concepts, risk, and controls concepts
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure and Networking, including Firewalls and IDS/IPS
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, concepts of OSI layer and protocols, networking, and security concepts
  • Knowledge of OT Cyber Threats and Vulnerabilities (OS, Network, OT-specific equipment)
  • Exposure/hands-on to IOT/OT monitoring solutions and their deployment (Claroty, Nozomi Networks, MS IoT Defender)
  • Knowledge and hands-on with Cyber Security Assessment
  • Knowledge of ICS communication protocols
  • 2+ years of experience in the Cyber Security or OT Security Domain
  • Holds a degree in Computer/Electrical/Electronics Engineering
  • Worked in client-facing positions before
  • Extra points for having Certifications such as: IEC62443, GICSP, CCNA, CISSP, CISA, CISM, or equivalent

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Prior experience working alongside delivery Leads and Architects to deploy OT-specific Security solutions
  • Experience conducting OT Security Assessments based on global frameworks/standards
  • Understanding of OT industrial technologies (SCADA communication flow, OT technical architecture, OT Backup and Patch Management)
  • Knowledge of the technical security solutions utilized within OT/ICS systems and networks (Network Segmentation, Secure Remote Access, Zero Trust, IAM)
  • Knowledge of Cybersecurity Technologies/Solutions like IDS/IPS, SIEM, OT SOC
  • Knowledge of OT/ICS Security standards, frameworks, and normatives, including ISA/IEC 62443, NIST 800-82, NIST-CSF, NERC-CIP, NIS2 directive
