MMC in Warsaw is seeking a skilled Trade Spend Analyst to own the end-to-end process of promotions, rebates, and accruals. You will verify claims against contracts, pricing terms, and promotional agreements, and you will drive data-driven improvements.

You will collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Customer Service, manage KPIs, mentor junior analysts, and strengthen controls to ensure DoA compliance. Proficiency in English and German is required.

Your responsibilities

• Manage complex trade promotion and rebate claims, ensuring accurate validation against contracts, pricing terms, and promotional agreements
• Oversee the end-to-end trade spend process, including claim adjudication, settlement, and reconciliation activities
• Lead investigation and resolution of discrepancies, aged claims, and exceptions, engaging cross-functional teams where required
• Review and validate promotional data (e.g., EPOS, pricing, promotional plans) to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Manage trade spend accruals, including creation, reconciliation, and month-end true-ups in line with accounting policies
• Provide guidance and oversight to junior analysts, supporting knowledge sharing and capability development within the team
• Strengthen controls, ensuring compliance with policies, audit requirements, and Delegation of Authority (DoA) frameworks
• Monitor and analyse KPIs (e.g., claim cycle time, accrual accuracy, leakage, recovery rates), providing insights and recommendations
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including automation, rule-based matching, and standardisation of processes and data governance
• Partner with Sales, Finance, and Customer Service to improve upstream processes and reduce recurring issues and revenue leakage
