Job summary

Vertex Agility is seeking an experienced Cloud Operations Manager in Cracow to lead a globally distributed team of cloud/DevOps engineers supporting AWS, Azure and GCP environments.

You will drive a unified cross-cloud operating model, standardize processes and contribute to the team's strategic roadmap. Candidates should have 10+ people management experience and strong stakeholder skills for a global enterprise.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing 10+ people.
• Strong public cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, IAM, containers.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps.
• Experience with risk, security, audit and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a cloud/DevOps team, including 1:1s, performance reviews and recruitment.
• Own day-to-day team management, escalations and operational delivery.
• Define and improve Cloud Operations processes, standards and ways of working.
• Drive automation, workload reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor and report against KPIs, SLAs and key operational initiatives.
• Ensure cloud platforms meet security, risk, compliance and Business Continuity requirements.
• Work closely with Architecture, Security, Risk, Service Management and Product teams.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and technology teams globally.
• Contribute to the Cloud Operations strategy, roadmap and future team development.
• Promote best practices and standardization across AWS, Azure and GCP teams.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Operations Manager to lead a globally distributed team of cloud and DevOps professionals supporting AWS, Azure and GCP environments.

The role combines people management, cloud operations, stakeholder management and continuous improvement. You will help drive the transition toward a unified cross-cloud operating model, standardize processes and contribute to the team's strategic roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of cloud/DevOps engineers, including 1:1s, performance reviews, development and recruitment.
• Own day-to-day team management, escalations and operational delivery.
• Define and improve Cloud Operations processes, standards and ways of working.
• Drive automation, workload reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Cloud Operations Manager, Technical Operations Manager or equivalent.
• Experience managing a team of 10+ people with full people-management responsibility.
• Strong experience with at least one major public cloud platform (AWS, Azure or GCP); AWS/Azure experience is preferred.
• Good understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, IAM, containers and operating systems.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps and continuous testing.
• Strong understanding of Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs).
• Experience with enterprise risk, security, audit and compliance.
• Experience working in a global, cross-functional enterprise environment.
• Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills.
• Proven track record of process improvement and implementing change.
• Experience with management reporting, KPIs and SLAs.
• Cloud certification in AWS, Azure and/or GCP.

Desirable

• Experience in Financial Services or another highly regulated industry.
• Professional-level AWS, Azure or GCP certification.
• Experience managing cross-cloud or globally distributed teams.
• Strong knowledge of cloud networking, containers, identity and resource hierarchies.
