Job summary

BFF Bank S.p.A. in Łódź is seeking an Operational Risk Management Specialist to identify and assess operational risk across products, processes, projects and IT systems. You will analyze business processes and prepare risk-based recommendations for improvements.

The role requires a degree in finance or related areas, at least 1 year of risk experience, strong Excel skills, and English language proficiency. You will join an international company with supportive HR onboarding.

Qualifications

• An academic degree in finance or related areas.

• Interest in data analysis, willingness to build quantitative skills.
• Knowledge of European regulations on operational risk management and Basel II/III capital requirements.

Responsibilities

• Identification and assessment of operational risk in products, processes, projects and IT systems.
• Conduct analyses of business processes and issue risk-based recommendations.
• Collect and report incidents and evaluate required provisions.
• Control the self-assessment process for operational risk.
• Prepare reporting and materials for senior management.
• Develop methodology for provisions calculations and risk management as a control function.
• Determine acceptable risk appetite level and measurement methods.

It is Italy’s largest operator in specialized finance and a leading player in Europe in the management and non-recourse factoring of trade receivables owed by Public Administrations. To strengthen our internal team, we are looking for a: Operational Risk Management, Specialist

our responsibilities

• Identification and assessment of operational risk in products, processes, projects and IT systems;
• Conducting analyses of business processes and issuance of recommendations for process changes from risk perspective;
• Collecting and reporting operational incidents and evaluation of potential level of required provisions;
• Control over the operational risk self-assessment process within the company;
• Prepare regular reporting and presentation materials for senior management and business leaders;
• Development of methodology for provisions calculation on operational risk events and methods for operational risk management as control function in the bank;
• Determination of the acceptable risk appetite level and measurement methods.

Our requirements

• An academic degree or equivalent qualification in finance or related areas (Banking, Economy, Management, Data Mining);
• At least 1 year of experience in management of operational risk;
• An interest in data analysis and reporting, with a willingness to build quantitative skills over time;
• Knowledge of european regulations about operational risk management and capital requirements for financial institutions,
• Ease of work in MS Excel;
• English language skills at a level that allows free communication and understanding written documents;
• Strong analytical skills, attention to details and very good organizational skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
