What you will be doing?

• Managing the products under responsibility of Data Exploration and Reporting Processes team both from business and technical perspective
• Defining and driving product vision into actionable development roadmap using the latest trends
• Driving innovation as well as conceptual and solution‑oriented work
• Setting realistic expectations with regards to product timeline and development
• Ensuring quality of the work and deliverables (by understanding the risk figures used both for regulatory purposes and economic capital models)
• Putting a high focus on the stable operations of the applications used
• Adhering to the products to the (technical) standards provided by the bank (e.g., smart delivery guide, book of standards)
• Collaborating closely with Scrum Master, other Product Owners, Chapter Leads and various stakeholders
• Identifying user needs and cooperating in cross‑cell & cross‑cluster environment
• Supporting the Chapter Leads in building “the team”

Which technology & skills are important for us?

• Master degree in economics, finance & accounting, IT or related field
• Experience in managing teams or projects
• Very good understanding of risk figures and parameters used in capital adequacy
• Ability to prioritize topics and manage product backlog
• Strong willingness to troubleshoot and resolve risk calculation, monitoring and reporting related issues
• Professional experience in banking industry: risk or audit departments
• Knowledge of risk management and banking regulations
• English C1 level – it is our business language
• Good knowledge of BI tools (e.g., Qlik Sense) and python

Description of the cluster

Risk Models & Calculations cluster is responsible for:

• Development, roll‑out and maintenance of group‑wide models for credit risk, operational risk, capital requirements and stress‑testing (incl. tight monitoring of model performance). We are model owner and 1st line of defence for model risk.
• Implementation of models in calculation kernels (e.g. rating models, RWA‑calculation, C‑VaR, LGD‑Service, OpRisk and Stress).
• Specification and implementation of rating tools as well as other central risk applications – used mainly by own Front‑Ends in the credit process or in online applications.
• Calculation of the economic capital requirements (e.g. Credit Portfolio Model, AMA for OpRisk, business‑ and physical asset risk – incl. stressed conditions).
• Basis calculation for risk provisions (especially IFRS9 Stage Assignment and Lifetime‑EL) and centre of competency for Asset Backed Securities.
• IT‑solutions for recording, management and calculation of the operational risk, tools for and management of the internal control system.
• Operational stability of the IT‑Applications (e.g. incidents or delays) but also optimisation of IT‑platform as well as minimisation of manual processes.
• Tailor‑made risk analysis (e.g. scenarios, impact analysis, Ad‑Hoc requests). Professional response on customer requests.
• Main contact for regulators, chartered accountant and internal auditors concerning model development and implementation.
• Implementation of important regulatory and strategic initiatives: e.g. implementation and fulfilment of new regulatory requirements for AIRB rating models, acceleration of rating calculation, enablement of digital credit journey, improvement of credit decision and streamlining of credit processes.
