Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC in Kraków is seeking a Buying Specialist to strengthen our Global Supply Chain Team. You will manage purchase orders, requisitions, and the procure-to-pay process, coordinate with suppliers and internal customers, and contribute to cost savings and process improvements.

The ideal candidate has a BA in Supply Chain or related field, at least 3 years in a corporate environment, strong English, and experience with SAP and MS Office.

Qualifications

• BA in Supply Chain, Business or similar.
• minimum 3 years of experience in corporate environment, in operational areas (supply chain, nuclear or technical areas)
• Knowledge of Procurement/ Supply Chain Management processes and function
• Fluency written and spoken in English; German would be an asset
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with a team-oriented approach
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to set priorities, manage time and multi-task
• Experience in negotiations will be an asset
• Experience using SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is desirable

Responsibilities

• Purchase goods, materials and services following specified cost, quality, and delivery targets
• Process Purchase Requisitions, Request for Quotation, and create Purchase Orders
• Manage the procure to pay process from engagement through to Purchase Order issuance and ensuring payment
• Monitor confirmations of Purchase Orders from the suppliers
• Manage on time deliveries and risks with suppliers and internal clients
• Ensure supply of required goods and communicate supply problems
• Resolve issues related to Purchase Orders and Invoices with Accounts Payable
• Collaborate with internal customers, suppliers and company partners
• Create new vendors in the Approved Supplier List in coordination with sourcing
• Implement supply chain strategies and maintain documentation
• Promote cost savings and process improvements
• Report achievements regularly
• Support development and improvements to foster quality work

Responsibilities:

• Purchase goods, materials and services following specified cost, quality, and delivery targets
• Process Purchase Requisitions, Request for Quotation, and create Purchase Orders
• Manage the procure to pay process from engagement through to Purchase Order issuance and ensuring payment
• Monitor confirmations of Purchase Orders from the suppliers
• Manage on time deliveries (and associated risks) in due coordination with suppliers and internal clients/requisitioners (plants, projects)
• Ensure supply of required goods and materials and communicate any supply problems which may pose a risk or impact on business operations
• Resolve issues related to Purchase Orders and Invoices in due coordination with Accounts Payable
• Collaborate with your internal customers, suppliers and company partners
• Manage the creation of new vendors in the Approved Supplier List in due coordination with commercial pillar to ensure compliance with sourcing strategies
• Implement our supply chain strategies
• Maintain due trackability and documentation of purchases according to Group policies
• Contribute to process and systems improvements identification and implementation
• Promote cost savings and reductions
• Report your achievements on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
• Support our further development by identification and implementation of improvements
• Support a culture where a high quality of work is the norm

Qualifications:

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be 7,333 to 9,133 PLN gross per month.

In addition to the base pay, this role may be eligible for incentive pay based on company and individual performance.
