Job summary

ABB is seeking a Testing Manager to oversee medium-voltage inverter component testing on site. You will ensure test process quality, manage Test Station activities, and report test results within a global drive systems division.

Requirements include a university engineering degree, knowledge of power engineering and electronics, SEP E&D, fluent English, and strong analytical skills. The role emphasizes on-site work and collaboration with development teams.

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering or related technical field with testing/measurement experience.
• Knowledge of power engineering, automation, power electronics and electronics.
• SEP qualifications (E and D).
• Ability to read electrical schematics and work with documentation.
• Proficient use of measurement devices.
• Proficient in English and MS Office.
• Experience with MV inverter design/operation is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, independence and organization.

Responsibilities

• Ensure correct execution of the testing process for medium-voltage inverter components, ensuring quality standards.
• Perform tasks at Test Station workstations.
• Maintain and report on testing and measurement equipment.
• Report and analyze the results of performed tests.
• Inspect and accept MV inverter components according to technical specifications.
• Support the department in new developments and implementation activities.
