Job summary

AMD in Gdańsk is seeking a Real-Time Developer to lead the runtime and integration workstream for a Windows-focused security platform. You will build low-latency data pipelines and a robust SDK/API to deliver threat signals to security software partners.

Requires 4+ years in Windows kernel-mode or low-level systems programming, strong C/C++, and expertise in real-time, high-throughput software. Regular on-site collaboration with hardware validation is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience developing Windows kernel-mode drivers or related low-level Windows components.
• 4+ years in systems programming using C/C++. Rust is relevant with strong low-level background.
• Hands-on experience with Windows kernel concepts and driver-to-user-space communication.
• Experience building real-time, near-real-time, high-throughput, or low-latency software.
• Knowledge of high-performance communication/concurrency mechanisms (shared memory, ring buffers, etc.).
• Strong understanding of concurrency, memory management, and performance-sensitive design.
• Strong debugging/profiling skills across kernel-mode and user-space Windows components.
• Experience delivering production-oriented software with proper error handling and testing.
• Experience creating unit/integration/regression/load/stress tests for systems software.
• Ability to reduce latency, CPU overhead, memory use, contention in runtime environments.

Responsibilities

• Design high-throughput, low-latency data pipelines transferring CPU telemetry from Windows kernel-mode to user-space ML runtime.
• Develop reliable kernel-to-user-space communication mechanisms.
• Build and maintain real-time inference integration layer with model loading and input prep.
• Integrate ML runtimes like ONNX Runtime or OpenVINO.
• Create a stable SDK/API layer to deliver threat signals to partners.
• Handle API lifecycle: registration, compatibility, versioning, error handling, docs.
• Implement per-process/per-thread telemetry attribution.
• Profile/optimize pipeline throughput, latency, memory, CPU overhead.
• Design for concurrency with shared memory, ring buffers, or lock-free queues.
• Develop unit/integration/regression/load/stress tests for the runtime and integration layer.
• Support hardware-in-the-loop verification across Windows platforms.
• Collaborate with Lab/ML Engineers to replay telemetry and validate models.
• Troubleshoot kernel-space, user-space, and API interfaces.
• Document architecture, protocols, and integration procedures.
• Work on-site regularly in Gdańsk with hardware validation environment.
