Job summary

Vestas is seeking an experienced network engineer for Plant Operations Offshore to support SCADA network solutions, troubleshoot offshore wind farm systems, and drive continuous improvement. The role involves collaboration with engineering and service teams, mentoring colleagues, and ensuring secure, stable operations across global installations.

Location includes Szczecin (PL) with international collaboration.

Qualifications

Solid hands-on experience with Cisco equipment or equivalent industrial networking platforms, CCNA level or similar as a strong advantage.
Experience with industrial routers, switches, firewalls, remote access solutions, and structured troubleshooting.
Good understanding of OT cybersecurity principles and industrial communication protocols such as MODBUS, IEC104, OPC, or similar.
Very good English skills, both spoken and written.
Valid driving license B.

Responsibilities

Act as an internal network consultant and escalation point for advanced incidents and technical questions
Provide operational support to offshore wind farms for troubleshooting, commissioning, and implementation of network solutions
Participate in remote support setups and on-call rotations to support site technicians and stakeholders
Provide technical advice to internal and external stakeholders on network design, troubleshooting, and best practices
Support and mentor less experienced engineers in their development and daily technical work
Align with 1st and 3rd level support on work instructions, technical documentation, and process improvements
Contribute to standardization and continuous improvement of SCADA network solutions while remaining execution-oriented
