Brenntag in Poland is seeking a Credit Control Specialist (Dutch speaking) to manage customer credit risk and ensure timely payments while supporting order fulfillment. The role combines leadership with hands-on credit control in a transition environment.

You will collaborate with Sales, Logistics and Management, set team KPIs, drive process improvements and ensure compliance with accounting standards to sustain financial performance.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience in Credit Control in a shared services environment.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in credit control or accounts receivable.
• Advanced knowledge of ERP systems and MS Office tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English; Dutch speaking at Level B.

Responsibilities

• Control and monitor outstanding balances, credit risks, and bad debt exposure.
• Lead daily credit control activities for accurate and timely execution.
• Review and approve customer credit terms and assess ongoing risk.
• Analyze monthly credit control metrics and KPIs for performance.

The Credit Control Specialist (Dutch speaking) plays a key role in managing customer credit risk and ensuring effective control of outstanding balances. The role combines operational leadership, credit risk expertise, and stakeholder management to support order fulfillment while minimizing bad debt exposure. By driving continuous improvements and developing the team, the position contributes to operational excellence and sustainable financial performance.

This role will be performed in a transition environment; experience in transition or migration projects is considered a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Control and monitor outstanding balances, credit risks, and bad debt exposure in line with company policies and accounting standards
• Lead and oversee daily credit control activities to ensure accurate and timely execution
• Review and approve customer credit terms and assess ongoing credit risk exposure
• Analyze and review monthly credit control metrics and KPIs to ensure data accuracy and performance monitoring
• Ensure timely payment of debts and actively participate in the provision of doubtful debts
• Work closely with Sales, Logistics, and Management to resolve credit issues and meet order release and shipping cut-off deadlines
• Set team KPIs, monitor performance, and develop team members through coaching and guidance
• Drive continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, service levels, and internal controls
• Manage escalations and communicate risks and issues to key stakeholders

Profile

• Proven experience in Credit Control, Accounting, or Accounts Receivable
• Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience
• Proven experience in a shared services environment
• Advanced knowledge of ERP systems and MS Office tools
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and analytical skills
• Strong business partnering and stakeholder management capabilities
• Mandatory hands‑on experience in Credit Control (not limited to Cash Application or Collection)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Dutch speaking (Level B)
