Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Supplier Performance Engineer to manage supplier relationships ensuring delivery of high-quality metal work components for the AP1000 program in Europe, with a focus on Poland. You will lead supplier development, oversee risk, and drive continuous improvement across complex projects.

The role requires a mechanical/industrial engineering background, English and Polish fluency, and willingness to travel up to 100% for workshops in Kielce or Siedlce.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Material Engineering.
• Fluent in Polish and English.
• Working knowledge of Manufacturing and Quality Plans, PFMEAs.
• 1+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience leading multiple projects.
• Experience with nuclear products and standards (ASME).
• Experience with NDE/NDT processes.
• Safety as an important area of concern.
• Knowledge about Design-To-Manufacturing and Manufacturing Readiness Level processes.
• Experience performing process capability analysis and qualification.
• Willing to travel up to 100% to supplier workshops in Europe (Kielce/Siedlce).
• Experience in large projects execution.
• Experience with US standards and norms (ASME, AWS).

Responsibilities

• Supplier evaluation and development ensuring capability and compliance.
• Lead supplier development, qualification, and cost-reduction efforts with SME approach.
• Oversee procurement risk and manage Oversight Plans and estimates.
• Define Witness and Hold points during manufacturing.
• Oversee supplier operations, document results, and take corrective actions.
• Support Quality surveillance with Supplier Quality Organization.
• Manage flow-down of Quality and Technical requirements to suppliers.
• Develop performance improvement plans for poor performance; manage SCAR process.
• Lead quality events and coordinate corrective actions with suppliers.
• Coordinate supplier documentation reviews and communications.
• Provide regular progress reports to Project Manager and Program Director.
• Support Commercial Operations and Legal for quality bases of supplier claims.
