Job summary

Bechtel Corporation in Warsaw is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the Poland Nuclear project by developing mechanical systems, piping diagrams, and data sheets within established procedures and codes. You will work with multi-disciplinary teams to prepare calculations, specifications, and supplier reviews, while ensuring compliance and quality in a fast-paced EPC environment.

Requires bilingual English/Polish and the ability to work on-site beside construction teams.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Plans and conducts mechanical work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of mechanical engineering techniques, procedures and criteria.
• Perform formal calculations including line sizing, pump sizing, valve sizing, equipment sizing, design pressure and temperature, and heat load calculations.
• Develop engineering specifications, material requisitions, and data sheets.
• Review vendor submittals and integrate information into a design solution.
• Supports the design, development, modification and evaluation of mechanical components and processes utilizing relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards and guides, and Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs).
• Support development of project cost and schedule estimates.
• Resolve technical issues related to the discipline including interface with other disciplines, functions, vendors, and/or client.
• Prepares or assists in preparation of conceptual studies, designs, reports, or proposals.
• Execute schedule requirements while maintaining a high degree of quality in work products.
