Job summary

Bechtel Corporation is delivering the first AP1000 nuclear power reactors in Poland for Polskie Elektrownie Jadrowe (PEJ). The role supports field engineering with AutoCAD sketches and NAVISWORKS Simulate model maintenance, contributing to design and construction deliverables on this landmark project.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree and 5–8 years of relevant experience, with relocation to Lubiatowo, Poland. A national relocation option applies and DOE/Part 810 considerations are noted.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5–8 years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD for field sketches and 3D modeling.
  • Advanced knowledge of NAVISWORKS Simulate and navigation of 3D models.
  • Understanding of construction site safety and occupational health requirements.
  • Experience on large industrial or nuclear projects.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure zero-accident safety philosophy is implemented and followed by craft and others.
  • Plan and execute work methods safely.
  • Draws field sketches and As-built drawings.
  • Maintain the NAVISWORKS Simulate 3D model and update as directed by the Project Field Engineer.
  • Support in preparing Non-conformance reports, Design Change Notices and RFIs.
  • Coordinate and resolve engineering and construction issues with Superintendents or project personnel.
  • Review project design, engineering documents, models, and data.
  • Maintain CAD Layer Management and standards.

Project Overview

Bechtel and Westinghouse Electric Company have partnered to deliver the first AP1000 nuclear power reactors in Poland for our customer, the Polish Entity Polskie Elektrownie Jadrowe (PEJ). Bechtel will be the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor for the project. As the EPC, our responsibilities will include providing the design for the Turbine Island and Balance of Plant as well as the construction of the entire facility. This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity, and we are looking for the talent that will help expand Poland’s nuclear base and build a strong and long-lasting energy future for generations to come. This position is subject to U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) regulations at 10 CFR Part 810 (Part 810), which govern the transfer of hardware, materials, and technology to support the construction and operation of commercial nuclear power plants overseas.

Job Summary

In this role, you will support the field engineering team by providing drawings in AutoCAD and will assist the team with modifications to the 3D model in NAVISWORKS Simulate. You will prepare field sketches to expedite the submission of FCDs and NCRs and to document as built conditions in the field. You will also maintain the construction instance of the NAVISWORKS Simulate 3D model.

Major Responsibilities
  • Ensures zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely
  • Ensures work methods planned and executed safely
  • Draws field sketches and As-built drawings
  • Maintain the Construction instance, of the NAVISWORKS Simulate 3D model, and make changes to the model at the discretion of the Project Field Engineer (PFE)
  • Supports Field Engineering in preparation of Non-conformance reports, Design Change Notices and Request for information
  • Supports in coordinating and resolving engineering, and construction problems with Superintendents or other project personnel
  • Reviews project design and engineering documents, model, and model data
  • Utilizes and leverages applicable software and processes
  • Maintain Layer Management and CAD Standards
Education And Experience Requirements
  • Required bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge And Skills
  • Demonstrates commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Advanced knowledge of utilizing AUTOCAD to produce field sketches and 3D models.
  • Advanced knowledge of NAVISWORKS Simulate software and navigating 3D models.
  • Understands construction site safety and occupational health requirements.
  • Previous experience on large industrial or nuclear projects.
