Job summary

Magma Math is hiring for an on-site backend engineer in Warsaw. You’ll work with a modern stack including TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS, MongoDB, Redis, RabbitMQ and AWS within a microservices architecture.

You will contribute to scalable, high-performance services, maintain legacy systems, and develop greenfield projects while taking ownership from concept to deployment. A strong focus on clean code and problem solving is expected.

• Proven track record in software engineering with impactful contributions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for writing clean, efficient code.
• Experience with backend services and scalable architectures.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance backend services.
• Work within our microservices architecture, handling maintenance and greenfield projects.
• Optimize, maintain, and continuously improve existing systems while building new features.
• Take ownership of the solutions you create, from concept through deployment and ongoing maintenance.
• Collaborate with PMs, QAs, and other developers to create the best experience for our users.

On-site role

We expect candidates to visit our office 4 days a week.

What you’ll work with

• TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS
• MongoDB, Redis, RabbitMQ
• AWS and microservices
• Lots of integrations (we do that a lot)
• Mix of greenfield and legacy systems (nothing scary)
