Job summary

Equinix, Inc. in Warsaw is seeking a skilled NOC Engineer to monitor network devices, detect outages, and execute Level 2 triage within a distributed global team. You will follow SLA guidelines and play a key role in incident resolution.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE or related field, NOC experience, Cisco/Juniper knowledge, routing protocols, and English at B2 or higher. We offer a hybrid model, a modern city-center office, and a broad benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in a NOC or another network support department.
• Vendor knowledge of Cisco, Juniper, or both.
• Knowledge of networking protocols: OSPF, BGP, VRRP, MPLS, Ethernet.
• Understanding of Optical Transport Network, Routing, Redundancy and transport protocols like OTU, DWDM, SDH.
• Experience with LAN/WAN and Internet technologies.
• Minimum English proficiency: B2.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network devices, software health and network tools to detect outages and prioritize issues.
• Troubleshoot network problems and provide Level 2 triage support.
• Provide escalation support for Tier2 and Level 2 teams.
• Follow published workarounds to resolve customer issues within SLA.
• Provide feedback to vendors to improve supportability of hardware and software.
• Publish and manage NOC checklists; deliver incident reports and metrics.
• Participate in Major Incident Team activities: incident bridge setups, escalation calls, cross-functional coordination.
• Identify operational issues and suggest design changes to address them.
• Work within a distributed Global Network operations support team.
• Schedule network maintenance and upgrades when appropriate.
