Job summary

Brillio Europe (Formerly CloudStratex) is seeking a Network Security Engineer to own the operational support of the production network security environment, including firewalls, proxies, IDS/IPS, and DDOS capabilities. The ideal candidate will have extensive multinational experience and specialized Illumio Policy Compute Engine expertise.

This hybrid role requires one day per week in the Gdansk office and offers collaboration with global teams to design, implement, and optimize zero-trust

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT Technical Network Security Engineering position/s.
• Experience in Global function providing level III operational support for network security environments.
• Deploying Illumio Core and Illumio Edge across on-premises, virtualized, and cloud environments.
• Designing, building, and managing zero-trust micro-segmentation rules using Illumio Policy Compute Engine (PCE).

Responsibilities

• Platform Management: Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot Illumio Core or ASP (Adaptive Security Platform).
• Policy Design: Build and maintain Illumio micro-segmentation policies and security rulesets.
• Traffic Analysis: Analyse workload and application communication flows to plan proper segmentation.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with network, cloud, and security teams during major migrations.
• Integration: Connect Illumio with tools like ServiceNow, SIEM platforms, and CMDB systems.
• Analyse Traffic Flows: Use telemetry from the VEN to map application dependencies and understand workload communication.
• Build Labelling Frameworks: Establish labelling models for enterprise workloads across hybrid, multi-cloud and on‑premises environments.
• Collaborate and Onboard: Validate segmentation plans, test rules, and transition to active enforcement.
• Optimize and Troubleshoot: Resolve policy conflicts and ensure alignment with NIST and Zero Trust strategies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, flexible and a proactive team player.
• Illumio Certified Technical Specialist (ICTS) or equivalent.

Brillio are looking for Network Security Engineer who will be able to assume responsibility for the Operational Support aspects of the production network Security environment which includes all aspects of the corporate Firewalls, Proxies and Intrusion Protection & Detection and DDOS capabilities. The successful candidate will require extensive experience in multinational environments and with specific expertise in Illumio Policy Design Engineering. A specialized engineer who can design, build, and manage zero-trust micro-segmentation rules using the Illumio Policy Compute Engine (PCE).

This is a hybrid position with 1 day per week expected to be in the office in Gdansk.

Experience

• Experience working as part of a Global function providing level III operational support for network security environments.
