Job summary

Netcompany Banking Services in Warsaw seeks a Network Engineer to translate strategic network vision into detailed designs and to lead technical execution across on-prem and cloud environments.

You will collaborate with security teams and operations to implement robust, scalable solutions, while adhering to standards and roadmaps. English fluency is required for cross-border collaboration.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a Network Architect or Network Engineer, with a strong focus on technical design and implementation.
• Deep, hands-on expertise in enterprise networking, including routing, switching, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, load balancers, WiFi, VPNs, proxies, etc.
• Proven experience implementing and/or managing complex data center and campus networks.
• Strong understanding of network security principles and their practical application.
• Deep, practical experience designing and implementing Microsoft Azure network components.
• Excellent problem-solving and technical execution skills.
• Proficiency in the English language is required.
• Nice-to-haves: cloud networking or security certifications (Azure/AWS), financial services experience, ITIL knowledge.

As a Network Engineer, you will play a vital role in executing the network strategy set by our Lead Architect, translating high-level designs into robust and scalable real-world solutions.

You will join our core infrastructure team of architects and specialists, acting as the technical hub for Netcompany Banking Services — a critical link between clients, development projects, external vendors, and internal security teams. The team takes deep technical ownership, ensuring solutions are robust, compliant with strict financial industry regulations, and future-proof.

You will be responsible for the detailed design and implementation of network infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments, working closely with the Lead Technology Architect to ensure all projects align with our established roadmap and standards while contributing your own expertise to refine our technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Translate the strategic network vision from the Lead Technology Architect into detailed, technical designs for implementation.

Lead the technical execution of network projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and in alignment with architectural standards.

Collaborate with network specialists and operations teams to implement, configure, and troubleshoot advanced network solutions.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of network standards, documentation, and best practices.

Partner with the IT Security team to ensure security controls are properly integrated into all network designs.

Qualifications

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented network professional who is an expert in implementation and technical design — someone who thrives on executing a clear vision and enjoys building complex, enterprise-grade networks, while collaborating effectively within a structured team under the guidance of a lead.

Requirements ("Must-Haves"):

Significant experience as a Network Architect or Network Engineer, with a strong focus on technical design and implementation.

Deep, hands-on expertise in enterprise networking, including routing, switching, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, load balancers, WiFi, VPNs, proxies, etc.

Proven experience implementing and/or managing complex data center and campus networks.

Strong understanding of network security principles and their practical application.

Deep, practical experience designing and implementing Microsoft Azure network components.

Excellent problem-solving and technical execution skills.

Proficiency in the English language is required.

Nice-to-Haves:

Cloud networking or security certifications (e.g. Azure/AWS networking specialty).

Experience within the financial services industry or another highly regulated environment.

Knowledge of ITIL processes.
