Job summary

Orange recherche un responsable automation pour piloter l’automatisation des réseaux microwaves et standardiser les modèles réseau. Vous travaillerez avec des équipes en Pologne et un responsable local coordonnant avec Paris, et ferez évoluer l’automatisation au sein du programme Andiamo.

Vous développerez des composants d’automatisation, assurerez les tests et veillerez au respect des standards, en étroite collaboration avec les partenaires et les équipes internationales.

Qualifications

• Maîtrise Java (Spring Boot) et Python.
• Expérience avec les pipelines CI/CD, GitLab et GitOps.
• Connaissances des systèmes de gestion réseau et protocoles SNMP/NETCONF/YANG/RESTCONF.
• Bonnes capacités de communication en anglais.
• Autonomie, proactivité et esprit d’équipe.

Responsibilities

• Standardiser les modèles NETCONF/YANG et participer aux sessions ETSI.
• Concevoir, tester et maintenir scripts d’automatisation (Robot Framework).
• Diriger les activités d’automatisation dans le cadre du programme Andiamo et assurer la conformité aux standards.
• Collaborer avec des équipes internationales et partenaires fournisseurs et communiquer en anglais.

About the Role:

Join Orange's innovation team to lead the automation of microwave network infrastructure. You will focus on standardizing network models, implementing automated testing, and developing automation components within a strategic program. You will cooperate with the team primarily based in Poland and a local team lead supporting and bridging communication with Paris-based management.

You will be collaborating with an international team in charge of Automatizing Transmission Network for Orange affiliates with technoilogies such as Microwave, Optical, WDM and IP Technologies.

About the Entity/Team:

The Microwave Department consists of 6 team members.

In addition, there are activities related to anticipation and R&D, with active participation in international standardization organizations and spectrum regulation (obtaining licenses from national regulators), as well as research projects on AI.

For Orange subsidiaries, we handle link design, define architectural evolution, and establish engineering rules to optimize investments. We also integrate activities from the Skill Center, including validation, sourcing, and deployment follow-up.
Our industrial suppliers include Aviat, Ericsson, Huawei, Nokia, and ZTE.

We closely monitor carbon impacts and seek to optimize energy consumption through more efficient hardware and activation of software functionalities.
Finally, the automation leader drives microwave network automation through the Andiamo program (Automation & Data Integration with AI enablers for Microwave, IP, and Optical networks).

Key Responsibilities:

• Standardization: Collaborate with international operators and vendors to define, promote, and validate NETCONF/YANG models, organizing ETSI sessions and ensuring standards compliance.
• Automation Testing: Design, test, and maintain automation scripts (Robot Framework) for validating network models with major vendors like Ericsson, Huawei, Nokia, and ZTE.
• Development: Lead automation activities within the Andiamo program, translating needs into technical components, supporting deployment, and ensuring standards compliance.
• Communication & Collaboration: Work effectively with international teams, vendors, and stakeholders, maintaining clear communication in English.

Our requirements:

• Strong programming skills in Java (Spring Boot) and Python.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitLab, GitOps, Kubernetes, and containerized environments.
• Knowledge of network management systems and protocols (SNMP, NETCONF/YANG, RESTCONF, APIs).
• Excellent English communication skills; ability to work in a multicultural, dynamic environment.
• Autonomous, proactive, solution-oriented, with good teamwork and adaptability.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of and/or experience with Microwave (MW) technology: hardware types, software, configurations, network architectures.
• Knowledge of French.
