Orange Group is looking for an automation-focused engineer to lead the standardization of microwave network models and build automation components. You will collaborate with teams in Poland and a Paris-based management bridge, driving testing, deployment support, and cross-border coordination.

The role emphasizes Java/Python development, CI/CD with GitLab, Kubernetes, and strong English communication. A hybrid work setup and opportunities to work with top vendors will be provided.

Qualifications

• Strong programming skills in Java (Spring Boot) and Python.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitLab, GitOps, Kubernetes, and containerized environments.
• Knowledge of network management systems and protocols (SNMP, NETCONF/YANG, RESTCONF, APIs).
• Excellent English communication skills; multicultural environment adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Standardization: define, promote, validate NETCONF/YANG models; organize ETSI sessions; ensure standards compliance.
• Automation Testing: design, test, and maintain Robot Framework scripts for validating network models with top vendors.
• Development: lead automation activities in the Andiamo program; translate needs into components; support deployment.
• Communication & Collaboration: work with international teams, vendors, and stakeholders; communicate in English.

Job description

Join Orange's innovation team to lead the automation of microwave network infrastructure. You will focus on standardizing network models, implementing automated testing, and developing automation components within a strategic program. You will cooperate with the team primarily based in Poland and a local team lead supporting and bridging communication with Paris-based management.

Key Responsibilities

• Standardization: Collaborate with international operators and vendors to define, promote, and validate NETCONF/YANG models, organizing ETSI sessions and ensuring standards compliance.
• Automation Testing: Design, test, and maintain automation scripts (Robot Framework) for validating network models with major vendors like Ericsson, Huawei, Nokia, and ZTE.
• Development: Lead automation activities within the Andiamo program, translating needs into technical components, supporting deployment, and ensuring standards compliance.
• Communication & Collaboration: Work effectively with international teams, vendors, and stakeholders, maintaining clear communication in English.

Our requirements:

• Strong programming skills in Java (Spring Boot) and Python.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitLab, GitOps, Kubernetes, and containerized environments.
• Knowledge of network management systems and protocols (SNMP, NETCONF/YANG, RESTCONF, APIs).

Nice to have:
