Jobtailor is seeking a senior .NET Backend Engineer to build and maintain scalable C#/.NET services supporting video indexing and auto-tagging of live sports events.

You will own backend compute at scale, design and review code, mentor peers, and collaborate with AI/algorithm teams. The position offers hybrid work with three days in the Warsaw office and on-call responsibilities for incident response.

Qualifications

5+ years of commercial .NET experience.
Strong proficiency in C# and .NET.
Hands-on experience developing within Azure cloud environments.
Familiarity with Azure Service Bus or Kafka.
Working knowledge of SQL databases.
Basic familiarity with DevOps terminology and Kubernetes.
Willingness to work in hybrid mode, 3 days from the office in Warsaw.
Availability for a shared on-call rotation approximately one week every five weeks.

• Build and maintain C#/.NET backend infrastructure for video indexing and auto-tagging of live sports events
• Interpret algorithm signals to split sports games into distinct events and assign accurate start and end times
• Develop backend compute at scale, including high-load microservices, indexing engines, and real-time processing
• Participate in design discussions and drive code review standards
• Mentor fellow developers
• Participate in the shared on-call rotation and respond to operations team escalations
• Execute tasks independently and communicate proactively via Slack with the Israel-based team
• Collaborate daily with AI and algorithm teams
• Work within a backend squad of four developers, one QA, and one PM, led by the engineering manager

Requirements

5+ years of commercial .NET experience
Strong proficiency in C# and .NET
Hands-on experience developing within Azure cloud environments
Daily familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools such as Claude or Cursor
Excellent interpersonal skills
Proven ability to mentor peers and lead design discussions
High autonomy and independent task execution
