Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior .NET Backend Engineer to build and maintain scalable C#/.NET services supporting video indexing and auto-tagging of live sports events.

You will own backend compute at scale, design and review code, mentor peers, and collaborate with AI/algorithm teams. The position offers hybrid work with three days in the Warsaw office and on-call responsibilities for incident response.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial .NET experience.
• Strong proficiency in C# and .NET.
• Hands-on experience developing within Azure cloud environments.
• Familiarity with Azure Service Bus or Kafka.
• Working knowledge of SQL databases.
• Basic familiarity with DevOps terminology and Kubernetes.
• Willingness to work in hybrid mode, 3 days from the office in Warsaw.
• Availability for a shared on-call rotation approximately one week every five weeks.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain C#/.NET backend infrastructure for video indexing and auto-tagging of live sports events.
• Interpret algorithm signals to split sports games into distinct events and assign accurate start and end times.
• Develop backend compute at scale, including high-load microservices, indexing engines, and real-time processing.
• Participate in design discussions and drive code review standards.
• Mentor fellow developers and participate in the shared on-call rotation.
