Job summary

Capgemini Polska is seeking a capable Database Administrator to deliver and support enterprise database solutions for clients in the financial sector. You will ensure reliable, high-performing database environments, contributing to daily operations and transformative projects, including cloud initiatives.

You will collaborate with DB Engineers and Consultants to design, maintain, and improve systems critical to business continuity, with a focus on MSSQL, backups, performance tuning, and HA

Qualifications

• Experience with MSSQL administration.
• Knowledge of backup, restore, and performance tuning practices.
• Experience with High Availability clustered systems.
• Strong understanding of database maintenance and administration.
• English communication; French an advantage.
• Exposure to other DB engines (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, DB2) and Windows Server/virtualization or networking topics.

Your role

You’ll be part of a team delivering and supporting enterprise database solutions for clients in the financial sector. Your role focuses on ensuring reliable, high-performing database environments, contributing to both daily operations and transformative projects, including cloud initiatives. You’ll collaborate closely with other engineers and consultants, helping design, maintain, and improve systems that are critical to business continuity.

Your tasks

• Collaborate with DB Engineers and Consultants on enterprise solutions for financial sector clients
• Support both RUN operations and large-scale project activities
• Participate in database administration, including maintenance and optimization
• Manage backup and restore processes to ensure data integrity

Your profile

• You have experience with MSSQL administration
• You understand backup, restore, and performance tuning practices
• You have experience with High Availability clustered systems
• You bring a strong understanding of database maintenance and administration
• You communicate confidently in English (French is an advantage)
• You demonstrate efficient task management and organization skills
• You show a proactive mindset and willingness to learn
• You have exposure to other database engines (e.g., MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, DB2), Windows Servers/Virtualization, or network topics
