Job summary

UpcoMinds in Warsaw is seeking an experienced MS SQL Database Administrator to join our team in a hybrid working model. You will administer, monitor, troubleshoot, optimise and deploy Microsoft SQL Server databases in complex, distributed environments, focusing on performance, data integration, monitoring, incident management and documentation.

We offer a competitive monthly gross salary in the range 2,800–3,300 PLN, private health insurance, and ongoing learning opportunities.

Qualifications

Proven experience administering complex Microsoft SQL Server environments in distributed environments.
Strong expertise in SQL Server performance optimisation including Profiler, Plans, DMVs, backups/restores and DR.
Hands-on experience with Always On Availability Groups and cloud-based data integration tools.
Experience with Microsoft BI on-premises solutions and Microsoft Fabric tools is an advantage.
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with proactive, team-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

Administer and monitor SQL Server in complex, distributed environments.
Provide 2nd line technical support for database management and related services.
Troubleshoot incidents, performance issues and operational problems.
Deploy, configure and maintain databases; monitor health, capacity and performance.
Develop and maintain SQL scripts and support ETL processes.
Implement changes per ICT Change Management procedures.
Manage incidents and participate in root-cause analysis.
Support backup, recovery and disaster recovery activities.
Maintain high-availability environments including Always On deployments.
Document procedures and maintain knowledge-base materials.
