Job summary

SEIDOR in Warsaw is seeking a Monitoring Engineer to join our growing tech-driven team. You will administer infrastructure monitoring systems, work with MS SCOM, Dynatrace, MP Studio and SquaredUp, and help keep complex environments reliable.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in administration/monitoring.
• Experience with complex monitoring systems in heterogeneous and containerized environments.
• Proficiency with MS SCOM monitoring.
• Experience with Dynatrace monitoring.
• Proficiency with MP Studio and SquaredUp dashboards.
• Expert in tuning and planning monitoring infrastructure.
• Scripting on Windows servers (PowerShell).
• Experience with Windows and Linux server administration.
• Familiar with ITIL-based change, configuration, and release management processes.

Responsibilities

• Administering the infrastructure monitoring systems (such as Microsoft SCOM).
• Monitoring the IT infrastructure across OS, applications, services and devices.
• Creating dashboards and alerts.
• Troubleshooting monitoring related issues.
• Deploying, upgrading and patching Microsoft SCOM and other monitoring systems.
• Capacity planning, tuning and optimization.
• Updating technical documentation and procedures.
• Providing 2nd line support and coordinating with 3rd line teams.
• Participating in coordination and project meetings.

WHAT WILL YOU DO IN YOUR DAY-TO-DAY?

• Administering the infrastructure monitoring systems (such as Microsoft SCOM)
• Monitoring the IT infrastructure consisting of different OS, applications, services and devices
• Creating dashboards and alerts
• Troubleshooting monitoring related issues
• Deploying, upgrading and patching Microsoft SCOM and other monitoring systems
• Capacity planning, tuning and optimization
• Updating the technical documentation and operating procedures
• Providing 2nd line support to other IT teams and coordinating with 3rd line of support
• Participation in coordination and project meetings
• Other specific duties as assigned by supervisor

WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU?

The consultant must demonstrate experience in:

• At least 5 years of experience
• Hands-on experience in administration of complex monitoring systems deployed in non-heterogeneous and containerized environments including Cloud services
• Experience with MS SCOM monitoring
• Experience with Dynatrace monitoring
• Experience with MP Studio and SquaredUp dashboards
• Expert in optimizing, tuning and planning of monitoring infrastructure
• Experience in scripting on Windows Servers (PowerShell)
• Hands-on experience in administration of MS Windows Servers and Linux Servers
• Experience in collaborating with multiple support groups Skills
• Good organizational and prioritizing skills
• Experience with ticketing systems and ITIL based change management, configuration management and release management processes
