Job summary

Axpo Group in Warsaw is seeking a Model Governance Specialist to strengthen model governance across the energy business. You will work with international teams, support risk processes, and enable data‑driven decision making.

Responsibilities include maintaining model inventory, coordinating validation schedules, and updating governance policies while collaborating with risk management and model owners across the organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Model Validation, including model governance, frameworks, and policies.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Databricks, Power BI and SQL; experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, Python or Dataiku is a plus.
• Experience in risk management, quantitative analysis, financial markets, financial instruments, governance, or Front Office support functions.
• Knowledge of the energy sector, commodities markets, or financial institutions is highly valued.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with complex datasets and high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in multidisciplinary environments with a proactive approach to improvements.
• Fluent English (written and spoken); additional languages are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the central model inventory and governance processes.
• Coordinate model validation schedules with stakeholders and the Model Validation Team.
• Own and update the Model Validation Policy for consistent standards.
• Create reports and dashboards on validation status, remediation progress and key risks.
• Collaborate with Model Validation Team, Risk Management and Model Owners on governance topics.
