Job summary

Talanto in Warszawa is seeking a Middleware Engineer to support a large data center migration program. You will work within a three‑tier architecture to migrate a middleware layer, support payments applications, and collaborate with cross‑country SMEs on migration activities.

The role requires strong PL/SQL and scripting skills, plus experience with Oracle Middleware tools. On-site work five days a week is required, with private healthcare and group life insurance benefits.

Perform middleware engineering for application migration in a data center program.

Job description

Location

Warsaw, on-site (5 days per week from the Client's office)

Tasks

Perform the role of Middleware Engineer for an application migration initiative within a large data center migration program
Support applications serving payment card acceptance / acquiring and issuer processor business processes
Work within a three‑tier architecture environment and support an extensive Middleware layer critical for service migration
Collaborate closely with the FTS Application & Middleware Team to execute BAU tasks
Work closely with Project Managers to drive build, testing and migration activities, including preparing and placing infrastructure build, configuration or access requests and removing blockers
Diagnose and solve technical issues
Monitor environments for performance and reliability
Produce and maintain high‑quality live documentation in Confluence

Requirements

Experience with application migrations and an understanding of challenges related to data center migration
Knowledge of BMC Control‑M
Knowledge of Oracle Application Express (APEX)
Knowledge of Oracle Data Integrator 12c
Knowledge of Oracle Internet Directory 11g / 12c
Knowledge of Oracle Forms 11g / 12c
Knowledge of Oracle Reports 11g / 12c
Knowledge of Oracle Rest Data Service (ORDS)
Knowledge of Oracle Service Bus 11g / 12c

Strong PL/SQL skills

Ability to work with SMEs from various countries and clearly present technical scope, challenges and solutions
Understanding of availability, performance, monitoring and resilience for semi‑real‑time online transaction systems and mass transaction processing systems
Understanding of infrastructure, networking, load balancing and TLS
High responsibility, commitment to quality and delivering on obligations
Ability to share knowledge, collaborate effectively, find compromises and build positive relationships in a local and corporate environment
Ability to comply with the company’s office / remote work policy (currently 5 days per week in the office)
