Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree with 5–12 years IT experience.
• Proficient with Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Hibernate.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and web services.
• Strong SQL skills with PostgreSQL and Oracle.
• Experience with Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Cloud deployment, containerization, and CI/CD practices.
• English language proficiency at least B2.

Job description

As a Full-stack Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain modern web applications for a large European public institution. Working across the entire technology stack, you will build user-facing features, scalable backend services, secure APIs, and cloud-based solutions that support critical business operations while ensuring high performance, reliability, and security.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and maintain modern web applications across the full technology stack, including front-end interfaces, backend services, APIs, and database integrations
• Build and enhance scalable server-side applications, implementing business logic and integrating with internal and external systems through RESTful APIs and web services
• Design, optimize, and maintain relational database structures, ensuring efficient data storage, retrieval, performance, and data integrity
• Apply security and data protection best practices, including input validation, authentication, authorization, secure data handling, logging, and monitoring
• Troubleshoot, debug, and improve existing applications by analyzing code, identifying performance bottlenecks, and implementing effective solutions
• Perform unit and integration testing, validate software changes, and ensure delivered solutions meet both functional and non-functional requirements
• Deploy, manage, and support applications in cloud environments using containerization and CI/CD pipelines while maintaining high standards of code quality, documentation, and software architecture

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Hibernate, and the broader Spring ecosystem for developing enterprise-grade applications
• Hands-on experience designing, developing, securing, and consuming RESTful APIs and web services
• Solid knowledge of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL and Oracle, including schema design, query optimization, and data modeling
• Experience working with event-driven architectures and asynchronous processing technologies such as Kafka
• Familiarity with cloud-based application deployment, containerization technologies, and CI/CD practices
• University degree at the Master's level with 5-10 years of professional IT experience, or Bachelor's degree with 7-12 years of relevant experience
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to analyze complex technical challenges and deliver effective solutions
• Good communication and collaboration skills, with English proficiency at B2 level or higher and the ability to work effectively within multicultural, cross-functional teams
