Job summary

Vention in Łódź, Poland, is seeking a software engineer with a strong PHP background to join our engineering team. You’ll contribute to robust, production-ready code and participate in the full software development lifecycle, from business logic to testing.

The role offers a hybrid work model and opportunities to engage in internal tech talks and mentoring. We value hands-on PHP experience, Laravel or Symfony expertise, TypeScript, and familiarity with React or Angular.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of software development using PHP.
• Solid experience with Laravel or Symfony.
• Working knowledge of TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with React or Angular would be a plus.
• Strong experience using AI tools for agentic development.
• Experience with Docker and AWS is a big advantage.
• English level B2 or higher.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of robust solutions with a focus on delivering high-quality, production-ready code.
• Take part in the full software development lifecycle, including business logic implementation.
• Join Scrum ceremonies, demo sessions, and team knowledge-sharing events like Idea Talks.
• Participate in project estimation and planning to help shape development timelines.
• Conduct code reviews, write tests, and support continuous integration of new technologies.
• Optionally, engage in technical interviews, mentorship, or present at internal and external dev-focused meetups.

What you’ll do
