We are seeking a Mid/Senior Python Backend Developer with Django experience and strong expertise in SQL database design and optimization. Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain backend services using Django, Python, and related technologies.
  • Define and optimize complex database schemas in PostgreSQL, ensuring efficient indexing and query performance.
  • Develop secure, scalable RESTful APIs and integrate with frontend and product teams.
  • Implement continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions, Datadog, and related tooling.
  • Write unit and integration tests and maintain code quality through review processes and best practices.
  • Utilize Docker for containerization and manage asynchronous job processing in Celery/Redis.
  • Work with AWS services (EC2, Elastic Beanstalk, RDS, S3, Cognito) and other cloud providers.
  • Apply prompt engineering and LLM integrations (OpenAI API) for advanced AI features.
  • Collaborate on architectural decisions, ensuring robust, maintainable code structures and strong typing.
  • Communicate findings and collaborate independently within a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of backend development experience, primarily in Python.
  • 2+ years of hands‑on production experience with Django.
  • Deep expertise in SQL database design, indexing, query optimization, and data modeling; strong knowledge of PostgreSQL.
  • Solid experience building RESTful APIs.
  • Proficiency in writing unit and integration tests.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Datadog).
  • Experience using Git (and other version control tools) and containerization with Docker.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Independent work capability, self‑motivation, and problem‑solving aptitude.
  • Knowledge of AWS or comparable cloud services and familiarity with CDN, databases, and identity services.

  • Experience with asynchronous Django or Django Channels (Daphne).
  • Analytics or data‑engineering experience (e.g., LLM integrations, prompt engineering).
  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum workflows.
