Job summary

Coforge is seeking a Mid Level Java Developer in Kraków, Poland. The role requires hands-on Java 17 development, REST/JSON/SOAP expertise, and experience with CI/CD pipelines. You will contribute to design, coding, testing and debugging of complex software, while maintaining high quality standards in a collaborative team environment.

The position is hybrid with on-site presence in Kraków 2-3 days per week and includes opportunities to work with modern tech stacks and cloud tooling.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Java v.17+ software development.
• Knowledge of REST, JSON and SOAP.
• Experience with Git and Maven.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitHub Actions.
• Basic knowledge of Linux and shell scripting.

We are at Coforge hiring for Mid Level Java Developer Engineer with Java v.17, REST, JSON and SOAP, CI/CD pipelines, Git, Maven, Elastic Stack

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Develops, codes, tests and debugs new complex software solutions or enhancements to existing products,
• Help design and code applications using routine and/or advanced technology,
• Propose ideas to improve application performance and stability,
• Encourage high coding standards, using best practices and high quality,
• Attend status meetings and provide oral and written reports regarding work progress,
• May take part in researching best practices, new tools and technology.
• Hands on experience with Java v.17+ software development
• Knowledge of REST, JSON and SOAP
• Experience with tools like Git, Maven
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitHub Actions
• Basic knowledge of Linux and shell scripting
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g. Terraform)
• Knowledge of cloud-based tech/languages, technology stacks (preferred GCP)
• Good analytical skills
• Team working skills, team player
• Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools
• Openness to learning and improving development processes as well as quality practices (e.g. smoke tests, acceptance tests, integration tests)
• Good written and verbal English communication skills
• Ability to influence across product/engineering; excellent written design documentation.
• Nice to have: Experience with static analysis and application security tools (e.g. SonarQube, Veracode)
• Knowledge of React.js and experience in developing front-end applications will be an advantage.
