Job summary

Arise is a globally active weight-loss app and is bringing its Android version to life. We seek a developer to build the Android app from the ground up, taking ownership from architecture to release.

You will work with the iOS developer and CEO to ensure high quality and cross‑platform consistency, while enabling monetization and a fast, maintainable codebase. The role offers a remote‑first, full‑time position with autonomy, direct founder interaction, and the chance to impact millions of users

Qualifications

• Middle 2+ Level Developer with proven track record.
• Minimum 4 years of Android development experience.
• Experience building an app from scratch — not just contributing to an existing codebase.
• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Comfortable working fully in English.
• Strong knowledge of Kotlin.
• Experience with Gradle and CI/CD tooling.
• Solid understanding of Material Design principles, patterns, and best practices.
• Ability to write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code.

Responsibilities

• Build the Arise Android app from scratch — architecture, implementation, and release.
• Own the Android codebase end-to-end from day one.
• Make architectural decisions that balance speed of delivery with long-term maintainability.
• Collaborate with design to refine usability for a smooth user experience.
• Align with the iOS developer to ensure cross-platform consistency.
• Support monetization strategies by integrating features with measurable business impact.
